When running analyses on the cluster, please do so on a specific node. The cluster is made up of seven machines: 1 head node (phylogeny.uno.edu) and six additional nodes (node001.local, node002.local... , node006.local).
After logging into the cluster via the head node (phylogeny.uno.edu), you can ssh to a specific node:
phylogeny:~ cbell$ ssh node001.local
Now at that address I can check to seee waht processes are being run on that node by using the command top:
node001:~ cbell$ top
The screen will spit out something that looks like:
